01Does it actually work, or is it just scented soap?
It has no masking perfume doing the work — that's the point. Persimmon tannin is a polyphenol, and polyphenols bind readily to the organic compounds that cause odour, including nonenal, the compound behind the particular body odour that develops with age and doesn't wash off with ordinary soap.
Bound to the tannin, those compounds rinse away with the lather. So the result isn't "smells like persimmon" — it's smells like nothing, which is a different and better outcome.
The one thing that decides whether it works for you is contact time. Thirty seconds of lather on the skin before rinsing. Rush it and you've just had a normal shower.
02Do I still need deodorant?
Different jobs. This cleans odour off the skin in the shower; antiperspirant reduces sweat during the day. Most people keep both and find they use less deodorant than before, because it isn't fighting anything.
If you wear cologne, this is the bigger win: starting from genuinely neutral skin means the scent you chose is the scent people actually get, instead of a blend of it and whatever was underneath.
03Will it dry out my skin?
It's a cleansing bar, and every cleansing bar removes some surface oil — that's how washing works. For most people it's unremarkable.
If your skin already runs dry, two things help: use it on the areas that need it rather than head to toe every day, and follow with a moisturiser while skin is still damp. Patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours first if your skin is sensitive or reactive.
04How long does one bar last?
Roughly [N] weeks with daily use — but how you store it matters more than how often you use it.
Let it dry between showers on a draining dish or slatted rack
Don't leave it sitting in water — a bar that never dries goes soft and disappears in half the time
Keep it out of the direct spray if your shower shelf is in the stream
One looked-after bar genuinely outlasts two that aren't, which is most of why the four-bar bundle works out as well as it does.
05Can I use it on my face or feet?
Feet, yes — and it's one of the best uses for it, since feet are the case deodorant handles worst. Lather, leave thirty seconds, rinse.
Face, we'd keep it to the body. Facial skin is thinner and more reactive, and this is formulated as a body cleanser. Avoid the eye area entirely and rinse with water if any gets in.
06Is it safe for sensitive skin?
It's a gentle cleansing bar, but any new product on reactive skin deserves a test first.

Avoid broken, sunburnt, freshly shaved and actively irritated skin
Stop and rinse with cool water if you get redness, stinging or itching
This is a cosmetic cleansing product. It is not an antibacterial product and it is not a treatment for excessive sweating, a skin condition or an infection. If body odour has changed suddenly, or comes with other symptoms, that's worth raising with a doctor rather than treating with soap.
